Meeting of the Task Force on Public Financial Management (Johannesburg)

Members of the Effective Institutions Platform met in Johannesburg, South Africa in order to discuss and agree on a set of concrete proposals for country-level and international-level actions to support institutions needed for transparent, effective and accountable states.
Following the submission of 14 concrete proposals ranging from strengthening national statistical systems to improving the quality of public sector management indicators, a set of 5 pillars of work were agreed upon including: change management and making reform happen, indicators for success, domestic resource mobilization, use of country systems, as well as accountable and inclusive institutions.
